LI semifinalists in 2016 Siemens Competition

Sixty-nine Long Island students are among 498 semifinalists named nationwide Oct. 18 in the 2016 Siemens Competition in Math, Science & Technology. The semifinalists' projects were selected from about 1,600 projects in science, technology, engineering and math fields. The table shows the 90 finalists in New York State. Regional finalists in the prestigious contest are slated to be announced Wednesday, Oct. 19. The regional finalists present projects to judges during November. The map shows Long Island schools; those with a dot in their locator have more than three semifinalists. Read more about the Siemens semifinalists here.
