Long Island teacher evaluations

Nearly 57 percent of Long Island educators are rated highly effective, according to data released Aug. 28, 2014, by the New York State Education Department. Here are figures for Nassau and Suffolk districts giving the percentage of teachers and principals in four categories, along with some basic demographic data. Click on the category boxes next to the map to change the color coding. Data for some small districts was suppressed by the state to avoid making it possible to identify individuals.
