MTA rate hike 2012
The MTA has approved fare hikes that will increase the price of a Long Island Rail Road and also make it more expensive to ride a subway or city bus.
To encourage customers to refill MetroCards, the MTA will institute a $1 surcharge to purchase a new card
Toll increases to take effect on or about March 1.
