Who should the Islanders protect in the NHL expansion draft?

With the addition of the Vegas Golden Nights, the NHL will hold an expansion draft. The other 30 teams must submit their protected players list by 5 p.m. Eastern on Saturday, June 17. Vegas must submit its selections, including one player from each team, by 5 p.m. Eastern on Tuesday, June 20.

Josh Ho-Sang and Anthony Beauvillier are exempt. Mikhail Grabovski doesn’t meet the exposure requirements after missing the entire 2016-17 season. Johnny Boychuk and Andrew Ladd have no-move clauses, meaning they have to be protected unless they agree to a one-time waiver. The Islanders must protect either seven forwards, three defensemen and a goaltender or eight skaters (forwards/defensemen) and a goaltender. Who should the team protect? You play GM and decide.
