Previously, Troiano served on the North Hempstead town board for six years, was president of the Westbury Schools' Board of Education, and was the regional coordinator for the State Senate majority leader. A graduate of Brown University in 1975 and Stanford University, from which he received his master's in business administration in 1978, Troiano spent 25 years working on Wall Street.
