His comments:

If Medical Marijuana is to be legalized in New York State, every effort should be made to emphasize delivery methods other than conventional smoking first. Metered dosages delivered through vaporizers and concentrated oils enable doctors to prescribe an exact amount of Cannabis to treat an individual's specific illness as opposed to smoking varied amounts and quality of traditional marijuana.

Traditional smoking methods are unsuitable for children, in hospital patients and those with damaged immune, cardiovascular and pulmonary systems. Additionally, family members, caregivers and all other individuals within proximity of the patient would not be exposed to dangerous second hand smoke containing carcinogens and the potential to affect an individual's drug test for employment.
