Background:

Bynoe, of Westbury, won her seat in a 2014 special election. She has an associate's degree from Nassau County Community College, a bachelor's degree in psychology from Hofstra University and a master's degree in public administration from C.W. Post, Long Island University. Until recently, she served as a Commissioner for the North Hempstead Housing Authority.
