Eating on the Long Beach boardwalk
Riverside Boulevard at the beach, Long Beach Get directions
For the third year in a row, Long Beach beach-goers won’t have to pack a lunch. Shoregasboard, the pop-up food truck court parked only steps from the sand, is coming back. Popular with bicyclists and pedestrians who hit the newly rebuilt boardwalk, the trucks — many dispatched from local restaurants — form a corral around a clutch of tables shaded by umbrellas. The trucks generally operate from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays and from 9:30 a.m. weekends. Also returning: food stands on the beach and carts on the boardwalk.
